Oh man, I do not have enough words for how wonderful my experience with Kristin was. After such a rough birth with my son, I wanted to do everything I could to make my daughters birth amazing. Hiring Kristin made every single dream of mine come true. She knew exactly how to calm me down when my babe was almost 2 weeks late. Knew exactly how to deal with my contractions once they started. Pushed me to do some hard work when I was fading, and made me feel so incredibly safe. I could never thank her enough and truly cannot wait to have another baby and have her join the party again!

Kristin was an essential part of my birth process. From our first meeting at 32 weeks, to postpartum care, and everything in between, she brought so much clarity and empowerment to the whole process. The way she cared for me gave me so much confidence, especially being a first time mom. As chaotic as our birth was, she brought peace and helped us make sound decisions when we needed guidance. she was invaluable and I would hire her a thousand more times.

My birth experience was wonderful with Kristin Vasko. She was calm and encouraging. I had a super fast delivery and unplanned home birth but Kristin stayed engaged and by my side. I couldn’t have done it without her! My experience with her was wonderful, a perfect mix of letting me lead and follow my body and adding in her techniques and professional experience. She made a point to practice birthing positions and comfort techniques with me before labor started. I felt supported all through pregnancy and during labor and delivery. I had continued support postpartum even. Kristin even did a fresh 48 photo-shoot that I know I will cherish those pictures forever. I have given birth with and without a doula and I’ll never do it without a doula again! It makes a huge difference. Kristin was so encouraging and empowering!

Kristin was exactly what I’d hoped to find in a doula. This was my first birth and I wanted an unmediated, birth center labor and delivery. Beforehand, Kristin helped me work through my vision of the process and I really appreciated her calm, comforting demeanor and helpful suggestions as I navigated a totally unfamiliar territory. My water broke in the wee hours of morning before I was even having contractions and Kristin was a great help in various positions, aromatherapy and massage to help labor start and progress. It was a great relief for my husband to have her experience around so he could just focus on being present with me.
Our baby girl’s arrival ended up being a bit more chaotic than expected, including an ambulance transfer to the hospital. Somehow, amongst all the chaos of the EMS team, Kristin still captured some beautiful photographs of the first moments together. I’d gladly hire her again just for that gift. When baby girl and my husband had to leave almost immediately post-birth, Kristin was able to support me in my own transfer to the hospital and in the tough hours before we were all reunited again. It was a long process and she stuck by my side (even when I tried to send her home to get some sleep multiple times).
I’d highly recommend Kristin. A doula is a very personal decision, so getting to know each other over a coffee is a must, but I knew almost immediately that she would be the right one for me.

Kristin was our Doula for our son. I am a first time mom. I was super nervous that my husband was going to pass out so I really wanted a Doula there! haha! Kristin was great and so personable! She helped throughout my contractions and respected what I wanted throughout the birth process! I really wanted to wait as long as I could without having an epidural, and she really pushed me to do that! My birth went great and almost exactly how we planned!

From the first visit with Kristin I had so much peace knowing she would be there for me. She helped create a relaxing environment in the hospital room and guided me through helpful positions and ways to speed things up which totally worked for me! Honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience for my second birth thanks to her!

I was lucky enough to be one of Kristin's very first clients and I couldn't have had a better expierence with the birth of my first child. She always made me feel at ease during my pregnancy and throughout giving birth. The support she gave me and my family is priceless. She is a natural. One of the best investments we made!

Kristin is possibly one of the sweetest AND most talented people I’ve even had the pleasure to work with! Kristin’s photography is absolutely beautiful! She does an amazing job paying attention to detail and her ability to edit the lighting in photos makes it look like they are straight out of magazines or something! Not only is Kristin a talented photographer, she is knowledgeable about birth and does such an amazing job explaining everything. She has a super calm presence, she is an amazing doula and I would recommend her to anyone!

Kristin forever holds a special place in our hearts. She faithfully walked alongside us through pregnancy, labor, delivery, & now the postpartum journey. We couldn’t do this without her. Her love has made all the difference in this season. She is angelic, gentle, loving, wise, & so very kind. She eased my fears & gave me confidence in my ability to give birth to our precious son. Labor was intense, but it was miraculous & beautiful. I credit much of that to Kristin. If you are pregnant or planning on becoming pregnant in the future, without a doubt, I highly recommend having Kristin as your doula. I can’t say enough about her- she’s perfect!

Would it be weird to say that I enjoyed giving birth? No, it wasn't pain free. Yes, there were times I was exhausted and ready for it to be over. But I can truly say that giving birth to my son was one of the most defining and positive experiences of my life. And Kristin made that possible. I can't overstate how pivotal she was to my and my husband's comfort level. From the moment we met, Kristin was a calming, reassuring presence. She made it clear that it was what WE wanted that mattered. I knew I wanted to labor in water; however, when we arrived at our delivery room, the nurse was initially hesitant to allow this, as she would've preferred I undergo constant monitoring. Kristin worked quickly with me, the nurse, and the doctor to come to a solution; I could spend 40 minutes of every hour in the tub and the remaining 20 being monitored. Without her, I don't think I would've felt empowered to advocate for myself. Because of her, despite any moments of nervousness or exhaustion, I was never afraid or panicked—even though I am prone to anxiety. She gave my husband the tools and confidence he needed to stay engaged and take the lead on keeping me comfortable and calm. Just knowing that someone who understood this process was there with us and FOR us helped me focus, gave me clarity, and allowed me to stay in the moment. I think the best way to sum up how valuable I found Kristin's help is this: at one point, several nurses and the doctor walked into the room. Kristin had dimmed the lights and had music playing (my favorite band on shuffle). Her flameless candles and the soft smell of essential oils created a comforting atmosphere. The doctor and nurses remarked “this doesn’t feel like the typical delivery room we’re used to.” And that's exactly why I plan to never give birth without Kristin, if I can help it. My husband wholeheartedly agrees.
